Closed Alpha Community Guidelines

The behavior expected from locals, travelers, contributors, and future city stewards.

This working closed-alpha document supports product testing. It is not a substitute for the final legal review required before public launch.

Make local knowledge useful

Share specific, honest, current information. Attach contributions to the correct city, place, or event when one exists. Explain uncertainty and use authoritative sources for practical facts that can change.

Respect people and privacy

No harassment, hate, threats, stalking, sexual exploitation, doxxing, or publication of another person's precise private location. Critique places and claims without organizing attacks on people.

Respect creators and businesses

Upload only images you may share. Link to external material through supported URLs rather than copying it. Disclose ownership, employment, payment, complimentary access, family ties, and other conflicts that could affect a recommendation. Copyright notices and counter-notices use the separate Copyright Center rather than report popularity.

Do not game the community

Do not create accounts to mass-report, coordinate votes, manufacture validation, flood city requests, or inflate reputation. Helpful corrections may earn recognition only when material and approved; spelling-only edits are not a points strategy.

Moderation is accountable

Reports can temporarily limit visibility while evidence is reviewed, but a raw report count is not a final verdict. Consequential actions are recorded, conflicts require recusal, and status or popularity does not create unchecked moderation power.

Links and malware

Do not use native posts, comments, profile text, or feedback to distribute credential theft, malware, deceptive redirects, tracking links, or unrelated promotion. External sources belong in the reviewed external-share workflow when that provider and URL are supported.
