GoJumpingJack organizes the useful local knowledge that usually lives in conversations, community pages, and the memories of people who know a place well. Locals can earn recognition by making their city more useful; visitors and residents can discover something they would otherwise miss.
The founding stories
If you're looking for Jack, you probably won't find him behind a desk. You're more likely to find him miles into a neighborhood walk, tracking down a legendary taco or a hidden underground show. Having grown up overseas, he is multilingual, endlessly curious, and comfortable finding his way almost anywhere. He started GoJumpingJack to share the experiences that rarely make traditional travel lists: hidden gems, long walks, and the people you meet when you step beyond the tourist trail.
Larry is a family man and insurance professional who once thought adventure was something that happened to other people. Cost, time, and the unknown often made travel feel out of reach. Watching Jack find the extraordinary in ordinary places—right in Gainesville—changed that. Larry joined GoJumpingJack to build a community for the curious but cautious and to show that a memorable story can begin with a hidden restaurant down the street just as easily as a journey across the world.
The catalogue is public to explore, while account and community features are being tested with a small group. Features, data, workflows, and working policies may change. We publish release notes, preserve dedicated rights and safety paths, and do not describe a city as fully operational until its launch gates pass.
